Genres can be overlooked and ignored in day to day life, we do not always realize how much we use and rely on genres. Anytime you use the radio and listen to music you are relying on knowledge of genres, you know what you will be listening to because of genres. But this goes for much more such as tv, apps, books movies, academic work, and just about anything. Using genres can help a person stay focused in on their main idea with can lead to a well structured project or paper. When you create a some sort of composition, knowing and focusing on the genre will help narrow down your audience and lead you in the right direction from the moment you begin working.
