Class Log Feb 15th

We began with the poem of the day Ecologue at midnight by Yusef Komunyakaa. Then the log from last class was read. Mat then went into discussing Steffens mini genre presentation from the class before. After that Sofia went up to do her mini genre presentation. She gave her presentation on the Jimmy Kimmel Live Celebrities Read Mean Tweets segment. Once she finished up we looked at the syllabus to go over the assignments such as the interview on the 22nd and the annotated bibliography on the 27th. We also each made a list of the genres we use in this class, then we made a group list and began to go over them, figuring out which texts are important to this class. Next we circled back and went over questions that would be beneficial to ask the person that we interview. We then went over the annotated bibliography in more detail. The Kevon led discussion hitting on how to pick your topic.
