Everyone knows that plagiarism is one of the biggest problems one could have in a college english class, and even worse would be to be accused of it when you truly did not plagiarize anything. Luckily the BBG has a few tips that can help us avoid this issue in ENC 2135. Number 1, do not just copy and paste major chunks because it will be faster and you can be finished in 25 minutes, that is the easiest way to get in trouble. Number 2, be sure to always use quotations around any sort of direct quote. Number 3, this is from a chapter we had previously but it can apply here as well, be aware of common knowledge. Many people will assume some things are common knowledge just because you are more familiar with a certain topic, when in reality someone else may not have any clue about it. Number 4, it is better to give out way more credit than you may need towards certain sources and people, than to not give them enough and find yourself in an honor council situation. Avoiding plagiarism when using online sources can be easy and simple if you take the time and make sure you are using your thoughts only, unless in a correctly cites quote.
